Sukhbir, wife have Rs 13.41-cr assets

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">FARIDKOT: In a thirty-five page statement with his nomination papers, Sukhbir Badal declared that he and his wife Harsimrat have total assets worth Rs 13,41,00790. It’s a figure that pales before the alleged multihundred crore property Amarinder Singh has often spoken about.<br /><br />The value of Harsimrat’s assets has been shown as Rs 42,62,886 which includes jewellery worth Rs 41,50,000, a bank balance Rs 1,86,866 and Rs 3.80 lakh in other properties.<br /><br />In his nomination papers, Sukhbir has claimed that he owns shares worth Rs 5,48,96,900 in the controversial Orbit Resort at Gurgaon, a property owned by the Badal family.In an affidavit enclosed with the nomination papers, Sukhbir says he has 5,63,297 shares in Orbit.<br /><br />In the Balasar farm house of Badal family, spread over 33.5 acres in Sirsa district, the other controversial property owned by the Badal family, Sukhbir has claimed that his shares are of the value of Rs 2,50,20,000.<br /><br />Sukhbir may be driving about in luxurious and ultra modern cars but the man has only an old Messey Ferguson 254 MV tractor, valued at Rs one lakh to talk about in the list of motor vehicles owned by him.<br /><br />Having accounts in eight banks at Chandigarh, New Delhi, Badal and Bathinda, Sukhbir has shown his total deposits at Rs 3,45,399 and Rs 1,50,000 cash in hand.<br /><br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><br />Sukhbir claims to have equity shares of value of Rs 24.42 lakh, Rs 17,99,400, Rs 28,55,310, Rs 5.1 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and Rs 100 in Integral Deposits (P) Ltd, Falcon Properties (P) Ltd, Dabwali Transport Co (P) Ltd., Crystalline Deposits Co, Continental Hatcheries (P) Ltd and Taj Hire Purchase and Leasing (P) Ltd., respectively.<br /><br />Sukhbir and his wife claim to have jewellery worth Rs 44 lakh. In the details of immovable assets, Sukhbir mentions 40 acres of agricultural land (worth Rs 1,07,50,000) in Badal village, 15.90 acres (Rs 20, 38,000) and 7.75 acres (Rs 9,92,000) at Sadulsahar in Rajasthan and 3.6 acres (Rs 8,31,000) at Rania in Haryana. The non-agricultural land includes two acres (worth Rs 24,70,000) in Badal village.<br /><br />Commercial and residential buildings owned by Sukhbir include: 2,400 square yards (bank and shops) worth Rs 7,75,000 at Badal, a petrol pump worth Rs 25,30,000 at Badal, share in commercial flat at New Delhi (Rs 15 lakh), two flats (Rs 40 lakh) in New Delhi, a residential house (Rs 2.10 crore) in Balasar.<br /><br />The list includes a house in Sector 9, Chandigarh, worth Rs 2.52 crore. This house was raided by the Vigilance Bureau last year for using imported and expensive construction material.<br /><br />A shop-cum-office in the same sector has been valued at Rs 29.75 lakh. Outstanding liabilities: Rs 1,44,11,810.<br /><br />Sukhbir has mentioned the corruption case registered against him and his father Parkash Singh and mother Surinder Kaur by the Vigilance Bureau at Mohali.<br /><br /><formid=526372></formid=526372></div> </div>
